Cookies

The site sets no cookie at all — not for analytics, not for advertising. Visit measurement (Google Analytics 4) runs cookieless; no identifier is stored on or read from your device.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, smartphone or tablet) when you visit. They serve to remember your settings, to analyse how the site is used, or to improve your experience. Besides cookies, a website may use other browser storage techniques — such as local storage (localStorage) — which serve a similar purpose but are technically not cookies. Cookies cannot access other data on your device and, on their own, contain no information that directly identifies you as a person.

Current state

Plaćomat sets no cookie at all — not for analytics, not for advertising, for any visitor, regardless of where you are. Web analytics (Google Analytics 4) is measured cookieless: no identifier is stored on or read from your device, so Google cannot recognise you across visits or pages. The advertising network (Google AdSense) is not currently in use — if it is ever introduced, this page will be updated first.

In short: no cookie is set. Google Analytics 4 measures visits cookieless, with Google's consent setting permanently at "denied" since this site has no mechanism to change it. Should that change — for instance if advertising is introduced — this page will name each cookie and explain how consent is given, managed or withdrawn.

Technically necessary storage

So that the site can respect a choice you make, a small amount of information may be stored in your browser’s local storage. It is technically necessary, serves only to make the site work, and is stored regardless of any consent. This is local storage (localStorage), and so technically not a cookie:

  • Your language-suggestion choice — when the site notices your browser prefers another available language and you dismiss that suggestion, this remembers your choice so the suggestion does not reappear on every page.

This entry remains until you clear your browser’s storage. It contains no name, no email address and no identifier that could be used to build a user profile.

Google Analytics 4 — cookieless measurement

We measure reach with Google Analytics 4. It runs cookieless for every visitor — Google's consent setting is permanently at "denied" because this site has no banner or any other mechanism that could change it (Google Consent Mode v2). Each measurement ping sends Google the page URL, the referrer, your IP address — from which Google derives an approximate location — and general device/browser characteristics, but no cookie or identifier that would recognise you across visits or pages. This data may be processed outside Croatia; Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (USA) acts as our data processor.

If advertising is introduced

The advertising network (Google AdSense) is not currently in use, so no advertising cookie is set. If it is ever introduced, this page will be updated first — with the name, provider, purpose and storage duration of each individual cookie.

How to manage your consent

This site currently has no consent-collection mechanism, because no cookie that would need consent is set. The button below stays in place for when advertising is switched on.

Independently of all this, you can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, or block them from being set in the first place:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies

Deleting cookies does not impair your use of this website.

Relationship to data protection

This cookie policy supplements our privacy policy, which describes what data we process, how, and what rights you have. The website sets no cookie for analytics or advertising.
