Plaćomat

Terms of use

The calculators are informational. Results are estimates based on the rates in force and must not be used for official or tax decisions.

Scope of these terms

By using Plaćomat (“the website”), you accept these terms of use in full. If you disagree with any part of them, please do not use the website. The operator reserves the right to amend these terms at any time; changes take effect once they are published on this page.

What Plaćomat is

Plaćomat is a free, purely informational online tool. It provides a salary calculator for Croatia — working out the approximate net salary from gross after the pension contributions (MIO 1st and 2nd pillar) and income tax are deducted, with the personal allowance applied, and showing the total employer cost (Bruto 2). The website is not registered as a provider of financial, accounting or legal services.

The calculator runs on the rates in force for 2026 (sources as of srp 2026). The result is an estimate rather than an official payroll calculation — its purpose is to make clear how a Croatian payslip is built.

What Plaćomat is not

Plaćomat is no substitute for advice from an accountant (knjigovođa), for tax advice, or for information from the Croatian Tax Administration (Porezna uprava).

In particular, the website is not:

  • an official tool of the Tax Administration or of any local self-government unit,
  • an accounting or bookkeeping service,
  • a source of legal or tax advice,
  • a guarantee that the result is correct in your specific situation.

For binding calculations and your tax matters, please turn to the competent Tax Administration office or to a recognised professional in the accounting or tax field.

The rates in force

The rates used in the calculator are checked against the official sources, current as of srp 2026. The figures shown are the rates in force for 2026, each with its source. The result they produce is an estimate and must not be used for official or tax decisions. No model declares a rate correct on its own. This is especially relevant for the per-municipality income-tax rates: apart from Grad Zagreb and the statutory default, they are taken from a consolidated list, so check your own unit’s rate in its decree or on the tax authority’s list.

Permitted use

You undertake to use the website in accordance with applicable law and, in particular, to refrain from:

  • accessing, or attempting to access, parts of the website that are not publicly available,
  • deploying automated scripts, bots or scrapers that place a load on the server or disrupt the normal operation of the website,
  • reproducing, distributing or commercially exploiting the calculator and content without prior consent,
  • using the website in a way that could harm other users or third parties.

Disclaimer of liability

The website is provided “as is” (as-is), without any express or implied warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information. Precisely because the results rely on the rates in force, they may differ from your actual payslip; tax and employment-law rules also change, and individual situations call for a separate assessment that a general calculator cannot reproduce.

You use the website at your own responsibility. The operator is not liable for direct, indirect or consequential damage arising from the use or the inability to use the website, nor for decisions taken on the basis of the results.

Before any significant financial decision — for example concluding an employment contract, relocating to Croatia or dealing with your taxes — we recommend consulting a professional in the accounting or tax field.

Intellectual property

All content on the website (texts, calculator, graphics, methodology) is protected by copyright and by other applicable intellectual-property rights. Personal, non-commercial use is permitted without any special consent.

Any commercial use, the embedding of the calculator into another website, or the mass extraction of content requires prior written consent. Please contact us for this at info@desymphony.com.

Advertising and third-party content

The website shows no third-party advertising and sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Once the website is live, it may display third-party advertising or partner links; such content will be clearly marked as advertising. The operator does not control the content of third-party advertising and is not liable for its accuracy or reliability. You will find the details on data protection in the privacy policy and in the cookie information.

Links to third-party websites

The website may contain links to external websites (for example those of the Tax Administration, of local self-government units, of Narodne novine or of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics). The operator does not control the content of external websites and accepts no responsibility for their terms of use, their data-protection practices or their availability.

Changes to these terms

The operator reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Material changes are marked with the date of the last update and, where it makes sense, announced by a notice on the website. By continuing to use the website after a change, you confirm that you accept the new terms.

Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Croatian law. In the event of a dispute arising from the use of the website, the parties will first seek an amicable settlement; if that is not possible, the competent courts at the operator’s registered seat have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law prescribes another place of jurisdiction.
