Privacy policy

The site sets no cookies. We measure visits with Google Analytics 4 in cookieless mode — Google receives anonymised, aggregated visit data, including the IP address it derives an approximate location from.

Data controller

This website is a free salary calculator for Croatia. It is operated and maintained by desymphony. The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Croatian Act on the Implementation of the GDPR is the operating entity; you can reach it at info@desymphony.com.

What data is processed

Using the calculator requires no sign-up, and we ourselves neither collect nor store any details that directly identify you — not your name, your OIB (personal identification number), your email address or the amounts you enter into the calculator. All calculations are carried out locally in your browser; your entries are not transmitted to a server and are not stored permanently.

As with the operation of any website, the hosting provider may temporarily process technical connection data (for example the shortened IP address, the browser type and the time of access) in server logs, insofar as this is necessary for secure and stable operation. This data is not used to identify individual visitors and is not combined with other data sources.

Purpose and legal basis

Processing is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Croatian data-protection law. Technically necessary operations — running the website and storing your language-suggestion preference — rely on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in a functioning, secure service. This site has no consent-collection mechanism (no banner, no certified consent message), so analytics measurement runs cookieless with Google's consent setting permanently at "denied" for every visitor. The legal basis for that limited, aggregated processing is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding how the site is used.

Cookies

The website sets no cookie at all; the only thing stored is a technically necessary language-suggestion preference in your browser's local storage, so the "also available in …" suggestion does not reappear once you have closed it. Details on what Google receives from cookieless analytics measurement are described on the cookie policy page. You can also delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings, though none are currently set.

Analytics

We measure reach with Google Analytics 4, cookieless. Advertising (Google AdSense) is not currently in use; if it is ever introduced, this page will be updated first. Google Analytics 4 is provided by a third party, Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (USA), as our data processor. Each measurement ping sends Google the page URL, the referrer, your IP address — from which it derives an approximate location — and general device/browser characteristics, but no cookie and no cross-visit or cross-page recognition. This data may be processed outside Croatia. A future advertising rollout would not affect how the calculator works. Further information and settings:

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have, in particular, the following rights vis-à-vis the controller:

  • Access — to learn whether, and which, personal data about you is being processed.
  • Rectification — to have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Erasure — to request the deletion of your data.
  • Restriction and objection — to object to processing or to have it restricted.
  • Data portability — to receive your data in a common format or have it transferred.
  • Withdrawal of consent — where processing rests on consent, to withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.

Since we ourselves collect no data that directly identifies you, our processing is in practice very limited. For data processed by Google as a third party, you also exercise your rights through Google's tools (account and ad settings). Cookies, though none are currently set, can be deleted or blocked at any time through your browser.

Do not send personal payroll data

Please do not email us personal details from your payslip — not your name, your OIB or precise amounts. An example is enough for a rough estimate, and, currently, the website collects and stores no personal data.
